Longview Solutions has released a new version of its flagship business performance management product. Longview 7 includes enhanced integration with Microsoft Office 2010. It also offers a new external reporting product, Longview FXR, which provides statutory and XBRL reporting and financial close management capabilities, including preparation of consolidated data for XBRL extraction and XBRL tagging. The company has long been noted for its commitment to corporate tax functionality — unusual among BPM vendors — and builds on that reputation with the concurrent release of Longview Tax 7.0.2. The new version of this tax provisioning module includes several new automation features, as well as administrative wizards that help users to perform maintenance activities quickly and easily, such as adding legal entities, partnerships and branches.
